ABSTRACT
I don't know how it was that I ended up amongst the UK, but circumstances led me to live with them and observe their various and sundry rituals (as Malinowski said, "ritual is always rite"), to study their dominant myths, to chart their everyday activities—in short to do what any fieldworker does when living amongst strange peoples. The UK, once a savage and bloodthirsty people, are now relatively civilized. They are found on two rain-soaked islands, near the continent of Eur, and are much ridiculed by the people in Eur for their habit of boiling meat and serving beer warm.
