ABSTRACT
In 1952, F. Fraser Darling, British author and ecologist, visited Alaska with A. Starker Leopold to appraise the wildlife situation there on behalf of the Conservation Foundation. These notes, excerpted from the diary that Dr. Darling kept at that time, were incorporated into his book Pelican in the Wilderness.
