ABSTRACT

The appellation Humaniverse captures the essence of an entity whose very existence is changing in the direction of a species extending its physical and intellectual selves into the cosmos. One would imagine that those championing an aggressive program of human space exploration and settlement along with the transformation of the universe would not invoke visions of the cosmos that encompass a passive or conciliatory approach to nature. The universe will slowly evolve into the Humaniverse, acquiring the human traits of rationality, consciousness, and beauty. Human consciousness and intelligence will enable to reach the stars. At the same time, this very consciousness is gift to the cosmos. The concept of nonlocality will help solve the conundrum confronting nomadic humans of the far future attempting to maintain species coalescence. The Gaia hypothesis envisions man as part of nature–the Earth is a living organism, and therefore humanity is a part of this living organism.
