The life insurance company had used the wrong psychological approach because of their own desire to reap the compliments for the ingenuity of their merchandise. A pattern company for which analysts studied the problems of the psychology of sewing was advised by people to concentrate particularly on the younger generation. The changing values and expressive powers of products stem more from such factors as the age of a product and psychological reasons. The utilitarian and economic technical aspects of his product are far less important as motivations than the first few minutes of intense enjoyment. A much more important aspect of buying is that it gives a person the chance to be creative. Photograph or an ad with a real message would have been achieved, the moment that sells would have been chosen. The single characteristic that may be said to dominate middle class, whether permanent, is prosperity, both as an objective reality and a subjective experience.
