ABSTRACT
The Aesthetic Stage is a state of immediacy. This immediacy has both logical and time-dependent significance. The “immediate” is nonmediated. It is what it is independently of any relationship to that which is exterior to it. The “immediate” also is the present dimension of time, insofar as it exists apart from what has been and what will be.
