Sabaeism Worship of the sun, moon and stars. In Peru the sacred flame was kept burning throughout the year for the virgins of the Sun. The Coroados tribe of Brazil considered the moon more powerful. Sun and the moon are held as deities by some Indian Hindu tribes.
