ABSTRACT

The strategy determines a general design for purposeful activity. Training strategy depends on the final goal of achievement to which the training will be devoted during many years. Carrying out the strategy of the 'strength training blocks' presupposes the persistence of corresponding steady effects in training. The idea of concentration of unidirectional training influences has been supported and developed in various publications on training methodology. When the training goal is the top level of sports results, purposeful training may already begin at ages 8 to 12. The most favorable age for increasing the speed of movements or their frequency with the aid of corresponding training is the age of 7 to 11. There also exists an alternative possibility that the disappearance of training efficiency is related to the exhaustion of either the central nervous system or endocrine systems. Physiological studies provide evidence of changes in endocrine functions in sportsmen as a result of prolonged periods of high-volume or -intensity training.
