ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the fundamental notions of bilinear algebra such as bilinear space, orthogonality and isotropy of vectors. Reflexive bilinear spaces, where orthogonality of vectors is a symmetric relation, are shown to be either symmetric or alternating spaces.
