ABSTRACT
The new subfamily Kaninospiriferinae (family Spiriferidae) is proposed for the genera Kaninospirifer and Imperiospira, characterized by an absence or weak development of dental plates in the ventral valve. The genus Kaninospirifer is reviewed.
