ABSTRACT

Window Analysis is an action-oriented technique for analyzing deficiencies from a management perspective. One important advantage of Window Analysis is that it will not allow one to plot a problem in a pane unless one have a firm grip on it. In other words, the objective of Window Analysis is not simply to plot the problem; rather, it is to trigger the people involved to engage in fact finding. Another advantage of Window Analysis is that it enables the user to understand the organization's weaknesses from the perspective of management by compiling obtained data. This allows the user to go beyond conventional problem solving, where each individual problem is viewed separately and separate solutions are built each time. Window Analysis encourage a positive atmosphere in which the involved parties tackle problems and move on to a mode of prevention and prediction.
