ABSTRACT
Alkaloid type chiral auxiliaries were tested in heterogeneous catalytic hydrogenations of carbonyl and double bonds. The highest enantioselectivities were obtained with the vinca-type alkaloid, vinpocetin®, which gave similar results to cinchonidine. Optimization and kinetic investigation are in progress.
