ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Among the different evolutive deterioration processes for dam materials, recently in Italy Alkali Aggregate Reaction (AAR) phenomena are becoming more and more important. A particularly meaningful case is represented by Poglia dam. This structure, which owner is Edison S.p.A., is a hollow gravity Marcello type dam (located in Lombardia region), which aim is the hydroelectric power generation.
