ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The contradiction between numerous fault dams and a shortage of dam diagnostician is very prominent. Earth dam fault diagnosis expert system (EDFDES) can solve preferably this contradiction. EDFDES consists of knowledge base, database, model base, graph base, inference engine and user interface. The system is based on traditional expert system and associate with numerical calculation, data processing and graphics technology to perform inference, achieving the data management and analysis to observational data and some numerical calculation functions. In respect of knowledge acquisition, the system combines the expert experience with diagnosis case of earth dam and makes a beneficial attempt to case-based learning by introducing artificial neural network (ANN).
