ABSTRACT

The Respectful Managers are consistent in their impression management and they never use the legitimate power invested in them by their status for their own ends. The difficulty is that Malevolent Managers, particularly the fraudsters and the mediocre ones, will assume the guise of a Respectful Manager. Each abusive act committed by the Malevolent Managers hurts not only a co-worker, but their families and their children. Executive Impression Management gives us a code-breaking mechanism to cut through the constant white noise of Malevolent Managers. The emergence of Respectful Manager Executive Impression Management has been a fortunate finding to help us all. There is a new model to train and develop respectful workers to become managers, using the foundations of what makes a manager respectful. Their good behaviour must be rewarded accordingly, not pushed aside in games of organisational politics.
