ABSTRACT

The best camera in the world is only as good as the lens. While a high-quality lens will improve the results from a low-quality sensor, a low-quality lens will degrade a top-quality sensor. This chapter discusses types of lenses, focal length, buying a lens, the difference between normal, wide, and telephoto, lens perspective, optical versus digital zooms, and lens mount adapters that allow you to use almost any lens on any MILC camera.
