ABSTRACT

Flame spraying of polymers provides functional coatings to protect against wear and corrosion. The specific features of polymer flame-spraying guns are described. A range of initial polymer powders is represented. Purposefully, change of the properties of the resulting coatings by adding various fillers to the initial polymer powder is shown. The coating reliability is strongly influenced by its adhesion strength. The influence of the characteristics of initial polymers, the share of inorganic fillers, and technological spraying parameters on the adhesion strength were analyzed. Typical application cases are represented.
