ABSTRACT
Whether a plot is considered simple or complex, it will follow the precept that through pursuing an objective, the hero undergoes a transformation. This means that by the end of the story, the hero will have changed, either becoming someone different then they were at the outset, or discovering that they were different all along. This transformation does not happen all at once, but occurs throughout the story.
