ABSTRACT
This chapter is devoted to various types of terminology and linguistic peculiarities that are encountered from time to time when reading legal text. The purpose of covering them here is not to recommend their usage – except in the limited circumstances in which this might be appropriate – but to present them in order that they can be recognised and interpreted by the reader.
