ABSTRACT

This chapter covers the techniques and criteria for analyzing a multitask job based on a weekly/monthly cycle, using a specially designed Excel worksheet: multitask method for weekly/monthly cycles. It shows the results of an intrinsic posture analysis for each identified task. The chapter shows the descriptive worksheets into which, as for a standard OCupational Repetitive Actions (OCRA) checklist, the number and durations of breaks and the nonrepetitive tasks present in the shift are entered, in order to obtain the net duration of repetitive work. It presents bar graphs indicating the net duration of work performed on each day of the week for each of the 4 weeks in the month. The chapter describes the results of the risk assessment produced using the OCRA checklist for the study of biomechanical overload of the upper limbs. It examines the proportional distribution of the various back and leg postures as a whole.
