ABSTRACT

Although I am a former Marine, I served during peacetime in the mid-1950s and never left Camp Pendleton. I was too young for Korea and by the time our involvement in Viet Nam occurred, I was in the FBI. I did not hear a shot fired in anger during my years of military service. Therefore, I would not be at the top of the list for prospective crisis negotiators to engage in the lifesaving process with a Veteran suffering from PTSD or TBS.
