ABSTRACT
Recently numerous types and sources of stem cells have been discovered with a potential for specific therapeutic applications depending on the natural abundance of specific biomarkers these highly specialized cells possess. Although, clinical application of iPPCs seems quite promising, risk of their tumorigenic potential is a serious concern. Hence, the theranostic potential of stem cells depends on the nature of biomarkers present in these cells.
