ABSTRACT
This book has so far focused on the virtual human technologies which are available currently or will be available by 2020. However, over the next couple of decades, virtual humans are likely to emerge that are, to most intents and purposes, indistinguishable from physical humans when encountered within virtual spaces. This chapter will consider a range of future scenarios alongside topics such as Artificial General Intelligence, Brain Uploading and the Technological Singularity, before considering what happens if virtual humans reach for the stars.
