ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we shall illustrate the linear mixed-effects models with real data in more detail, especially for readers who have skipped Chapter 4 and are not interested in or not familiar with the technical details described in Chapter 4. To understand mixed-effects models intuitively and visually, the growth curve model to be introduced in the next section would probably be the best example. Then we are going to move on to the Rat Data again where the linear mixed-effects models discussed in Chapter 4 are illustrated.
