ABSTRACT

The environment has a profound impact on all living beings, be it plants, animals, or humans. The physical and social environment is an important factor to shaping the lives and determining health, along with our genetic makeup and personal characteristics. In the history of human evolution, brain enlargement was very slow during the first four million years but developed faster for the past 800,000 years, which interestingly coincided with the period of strong climate fluctuations in the world. Pollution is basically an undesirable change caused by pollutants in the physical, chemical, or biological characteristics of air, water, and land, rendering it harmful on life of living beings like humans, animals, or plants. Air pollution is caused by a high percentage of contaminants like solid particles, liquid droplets, or gases in quantities, which is capable of causing injury to humans, animals, plant life, and even physical structures like buildings.
