ABSTRACT
This chapter presents a summary and overview of the state of the art of terrestrial laser scanners. They are discussed in detail by following a taxonomy of static scanners and dynamic scanners. Tens of representative scanners mounted on tripods or vehicles from different vendors are illustrated, along with their series history, main specifications, and integration with other sensors or platforms. Numerous illustrations are included for demonstration.
