ABSTRACT
The Declaration's language is especially important to the discussion of international trade because the Global Alliance of the Rights of Nature, which produced it, also set up the first International Rights of Nature Tribunal. Communities and peoples also have the right to "keep and promote their practices of managing biodiversity and their natural environment". The United States has faced 12 North American Free Trade Agreement challenges, all from Canadian companies, and won them all. The goal, as always with Free Trade Agreements, would reduce or eliminate national tariffs on imported goods and increase the national economic ties. The Trans-Pacific Partnership is an even more ambitious free trade agreement-one of the largest in the world. In 1927, more than 20 nations convened for the first World Economic Conference in an effort to recover international trade from the devastation of Europe during and after the First World War.
