ABSTRACT

This chapter provides students with a holistic view of mobile clouds by offering knowledge of mobile cloud architecture design techniques and clarifying the main challenge issues. It introduces the main layers of the typical cloud computing architecture. The chapter explains the architecture of mobile cloud computing and identifies the main differences between cloud computing architecture and mobile cloud architecture. It discusses a few crucial management strategies for distributed clouds. The chapter presents the optimization mechanisms of hybrid cloud computing. It demonstrates security issues and solutions in cloud systems. Mobile Cloud Computing Architecture is a structure of designing, developing, and implementing mobile cloud computing solutions. A Hybrid Cloud Resource Manager is a typical cloud resource manager that organizes, interconnects, monitors, and facilitates operations for a group of different cloud providers. Moreover, designing a hybrid cloud computing architecture needs a selection of the dimension(s), such as workload and execution time.
