ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on a number of crucial security dimensions to assist students in understanding specific security problems. It discusses the dimension of data security and storage in mobile cloud computing. Infrastructure is a crucial security dimension in mobile cloud computing, because infrastructure is deployed throughout the entire mobile cloud system, from end users to remote cloud servers, from wireless networks to databases. The Network Layer, also called the Network Level, refers to the security and privacy issues that exist or occur during the data transmissions on wireless networks. Data-in-Use means the data state when the data are attached to one node in a network rather than the Data-at-Rest state. In the mobile cloud computing context, customers are mobile users who receive cloud services and use mobile devices as the local hosts. In mobile cloud computing, one solution is to develop mobile identity and access management in order to improve the security level.
