ABSTRACT
This chapter presents an overview of a collection of essays from the book by Álvaro Valls, Kierkegaard cá entre nós (Kierkegaard, Just Between Us). In the first essay there is an analysis of the translator's hermeneutic work, and Valls discusses the theme of translation in philosophy. "The Absolute Fact" is the title of the second essay, where the discussion about the absolute comes out as a central issue in the philosophy of religion. The Danish intellectual Poul Martin Møller is the object of the third essay. It is in fact not just an essay but also an exercise in translation and explanation of aesthetic themes. The unlikely dialogue between Freud and Kierkegaard is the theme of the fourth essay. The next two essays deal with Works of Love. Finally, the last two texts deal with the reception of The Concept of Anxiety "just between us" and also questions from the current (Brazilian) reception about how we "must" read Kierkegaard today.
