ABSTRACT

El problema de la comunicacion en Soren A. Kierkegaard aims at reconstructing the indirect discussion between G. W. F. Hegel and Soren Kierkegaard through a study of The Concept of Anxiety in order to analyze Haufniensis' psychological insights and its structure as a reflection on the problem of communication. The book achieves its goals well and offers a detailed reflection on the discussion between Kierkegaard and Hegel from the perspective of Vigilius Haufniensis. Nevertheless, several problems with the study undermine the value of its expositive virtues. First, it draws on the first edition of the complete works of Kierkegaard from 1901-6, and the papers from 1968-70, and it makes use of neither the current Danish critical edition nor the latest Spanish and Italian translations. Second, it ignores the latest research about Kierkegaard's Danish intellectual context and his contemporary interlocutors. Finally, Garcia Pavon's conception of indirect communication, even if rigorous and clear, still requires some clarifications.
