ABSTRACT

What is this medium called “virtual reality (VR),” and what can we do with it? This entire book provides several snippets of how we can code for VR, how we can treat the participants, and how we can think of the design. In this chapter, we’ll take a whirlwind tour through VR, from where it came from, where it is now, and where we can develop it further. We’ll look at the value of VR, which of course differs based on users and their particular goals. Finally, we will go through a quick overview of the design decisions open to the creator of VR experiences.
