Further examples – estimating flow, level and velocity in practice

This chapter provides further examples of the use of the CES-AES methods through a series of practical applications involving stage-discharge, stage-conveyance and velocity prediction for a range of channel types (size, shape, cover, sinuosity). Sites from rivers in the UK, France, China, New Zealand and Ecuador are considered.

The survey data for the examples are provided in Appendix 3.
