Scenarios of how to pull the work together and how to find a stopping place begin to play out in your mind. Songs often have a structure, such as ABAB. Therapy sessions have structure also. During this Pulling It Together period the therapist may lead the couple back through the structure of the particular session that they are in so that they can to come to clearer insights and meaning as the session draws to a close. The aha moment can take different forms, depending on the type of therapy session that has been happening. When a couple has had a Breakthrough session, they are often somewhat overwhelmed even if they are joyful or relieved. Breakthroughs can change their reality. There can be negative breakthroughs that require some damage control during this period. Point 7d involves the couple connecting to external resources to help them with their issues.
