Wireless measurement technology has more advantages than the strain gauge. Wireless measurement BDI system can collect data without cable transmission, and BDI is easy to paste and has a higher accuracy. There are many problems in traditional load capacity detection methods of workover derrick. Therefore, BDI Wireless Structural Testing System emerged over times. BDI wireless detection equipment system collects testing data by Wi-Fi, resulting from the tedious work of cable arrangement and connection. Comparing stress with the allowable stress, the derrick load carrying capacity is clear. Evaluation and rank of derrick can be gained easily according to the standards. The most common section steel used on offshore workover derrick is rectangular steel. The accuracy of the evaluation of the derrick load-carrying capacity increases field work safety. And the load-carrying capacity of the offshore derrick can provide guidance for field workover.
