ABSTRACT
Traffic investigation is the basis of urban planning, urban road system planning, and urban road design work. Urban transport being the main supporting measure of urban operation and development, its function is irreplaceable. Urban traffic congestion is one of the major problems facing the development of Haikou city. The intersection is the bottleneck in an urban road network restricting the road capacity at the throat. A single-point intersection traffic signal control accounts for 90% of the urban intersection, so the study of traffic volume at the intersection is of great significance. The traffic capacity of the intersection has a greater impact on the overall traffic service level of Haidian Island. Traffic conditions include traffic volume, traffic flow composition, and the proportion of various types of vehicles. Traffic control departments should strengthen the public’s traffic knowledge and traffic laws and regulations.
