ABSTRACT

Politics is the art of governing; it is essentially the organization of society for cooperation. The art of governing consists of both the ability to efficiently organize a society for joint action (cooperation) and the ability to keep oneself in power. Politics is the ability to actualize a good life for a society. A good life comprehends the full human development. There are two basic ways of organizing society: centralism and self-government. The art of governing pertains to the internal affairs of a particular state, as well as to the relations among states. Cooperation is the fundamental fact of human existence and the essence of politics. Cooperation is based on the issues that unite people, as opposed to those that divide them. Politics transcends the boundaries of individual countries and their mutual relations. Any real politics is a result of human nature, as well as of a specific culture and civilization.
