ABSTRACT

The coachee is now ready to use 'ACTICE' – the rest of the 'PRACTICE' model – having been helped to identify their practical problem and to set goals. The coach can help the coachee to be mindful of how they can use the strengths and resources identified earlier in the coaching process. During the process, coaches need to discuss with coachees their experiences of implementing their chosen potential solution. This will help coachees make any modifications to the potential solution that they are carrying out and how they are executing it. It also gives both coach and coachee the opportunity to identify and discuss dealing with any actual obstacles the coachee encounters during this phase of practical problem-focused rational emotive behavioural coaching (REBC). When coachees have implemented the chosen potential solution over the selected consolidation period, coachees need to help them evaluate its effects.
