ABSTRACT

Finding treatment for those college students struggling with severe cannabis-use disorders can be confusing and frustrating for students and those trying to help them. In this chapter we try to break down the different types of treatments and levels-of-care available, as well as the social supports in the collegiate and larger community students can access to maintain the changes they have achieved. We also interview the medical and admissions directors of a well-known substance abuse treatment center about some of the challenges specific to college-age clients who come there for help.
