ABSTRACT

This chapter integrates parental trauma and child therapy. Readers can understand the key considerations in delivering Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to parents, setting up parent workshops, training facilitators, overcoming common roadblocks to implementation, and measuring outcomes. This chapter outlines intervention strategies for integrating EFFT into a clinician’s existing practice. It also presents methods and considerations for providing EFFT as an adjunct to other therapies, as well as working with individual parents, families, and parent-child dyads.
