The Individual Woman, Man and Queer Is the Subject of International Human Rights Law

The third chapter presents the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 as the beginning of the single person as the subject of International Human Rights law. There is no doubt that the vagueness of concepts like “dignity” or “basic rights of the individual” was useful for reaching compromises on the phrasing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
