ABSTRACT
The ILUMIEN OPTIS Mobile System is a mobile cart-based system using state-of-the-art optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology, and can offer real-time three-dimensional (3D) vessel reconstruction and stent planning tools for optimal percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) decision making. The OPTIS Integrated System incorporates angio coregistration (ACR), which allows the user to visualize the position of OCT image data on angiography images, tightening the linkage between anatomical assessment with OCT and subsequent therapeutic actions. The chapter introduces the key components of the ILUMIEN OPTIS Mobile System—the OCT imaging engine and DOC, and the functionality of the mobile console. It introduces the operating principle; the specifications, including the accuracy and execution time; and the guided workflow of the ACR software. The OCT/ACR tool is a hardware and software enhancement to the ILUMIEN OPTIS Imaging Systems that allows the user to visualize and manipulate the position of OCT image data on coregistered angiography images.
