ABSTRACT

The denticles of the teeth of Saurornitholestes differ from those of Dromaeosaurus in that those of the former are minute or absent on the anterior edge of the teeth compared to those of Dromaeosaurus. Further, the denticles on the posterior edge of the teeth of Saurornitholestes are more pronounced and pointed than the denticles on the teeth of Dromaeosaurus. Troodon is a member of the Troodontidae along with the Dromaeosauridae, share many anatomical features with modern birds, such as longer forelimbs, modifications for greater wrist movements, and modifications of the pelvis that shift the center of gravity. Nanuqsaurus is a diminutive tyrannosaur from the Prince Creek Formation of northern Alaska. Tyrannosaurs are typically viewed as being very large theropods. The internal microscopic structure of bone records bone growth history. A distinctive element within any ceratopsian skeleton is the occipital condyle, the bone at the base of the skull that articulates with the vertebral column.
