ABSTRACT

Solar trigeneration systems are essentially trigeneration systems that utilize solar energy as their primary energy source. Solar trigeneration systems have the potential to significantly contribute to the decarbonization of the energy mix and the reduction of emissions. Tora and El-Halwagi carried out a study on the development of a systematic procedure for the integrated design of solar trigeneration systems including absorption cooling technology. Wu et al. Kegel et al. focused on different variants of solar thermal trigeneration systems for a multi-unit residential building in Canada. Tora and El-Halwagi carried out a study on the development of a systematic procedure for the integrated design of solar trigeneration systems including absorption cooling technology. In their model, the decision-making horizon was divided into multiple steps in order to account for the seasonal fluctuation of solar radiation. The chapter presents a literature review of different systems aimed at solar trigeneration.
