ABSTRACT

The central idea underlying the philosophy behind the Spartan warriors is to never give up and keep on trying. There are times in life when the levels of stress can be high, thus disturbing our everyday function and making us feeling overwhelmed and unable to deal with that. In such cases, people should follow a holistic and persistent approach against stress, with the assistance of a specialist on stress management, which should include a combination of the following: stress awareness and education, relaxation techniques, cognitive coping strategies, biofeedback, meditation, exercise, lifestyle advice and interpersonal skills training. The aim of stress management training programs is to help individuals who experience increased discomfort to free themselves from the experience of such feelings and take control over their lives again. Most probably, people already know some of the techniques involved in the Spartan 6-day Bootcamp program, but it is the combination and intensity of this program that will offer new experiences to all.
