ABSTRACT

The aim of the paper is to identify key problematic aspects of consumer credit relations on the basis of analysis of individual features in researched field. In this case is devoted to the current legislation of consumer credit relations in which related sources of consumer rights in the Slovak Republic and the European Union are identified. Consequently, authors in the paper define subjects of consumer credit relations as consumer, creditor, as well as supervisors. There are described the requirements of consumer credit agreement under the Consumer Credit Act, consequences for not complying with requirements of consumer credit agreement and breach of consumer protection laws by creditors. Authors are also discussing about a sanction mechanism in the field of consumer credit, selected aspects of consumer credit relationship and referring to problems within the application of consumer legislation.
