ABSTRACT
In this chapter I provide a contextualizing account of the neighbourhood composition of Riverview Estate. I argue that "community" in this area is constructed on at least two levels. First, there is a notion of community encoded within the spatial design of this unit of housing. Secondly, the history of settlement on this estate and changing access to this housing resource has prompted a number of reconstructions of community.
