ABSTRACT

This research aims to analyze the role of individual characteristics (negative affectivity and self-determination) and situational factors (distributional fairness, procedural fairness, and job satisfaction) in influencing aggression in the workplace. A survey was conducted with 89 respondents in a manufacturing company in Surakarta. Multiple regressions were used to analyze the data. The results show that negative affectivity and procedural justice influence aggression in the workplace significantly. However, selfdetermination, distributional justice, and job satisfaction do not affect workplace aggression. It probably comes up due to certain cultural factors found in Eastern society.
