ABSTRACT
In 1977, Ada Mae Brown Brinton combined material from her many diaries and her unwritten, accurate memories to write a history for her family. The story begins in the 1860's when Ada's father and her mother's family moved to Iowa. Her mother had become engaged to her father while she was working in a textile mill in Massachusetts.
