ABSTRACT

In the era of globalization and modernization, as well as in the midst of an energy crisis, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) literacy skills on energy and renewable energy (NRE) sources theme is one of the key competencies that must be possessed by science students. In this study, the literacy skills profiles of students who were prospective science educators were measured and compared. The results showed that STEM literacy skills profiles on renewable energy theme were in a good category for all students. The variation in the profile of STEM literacy skills, including concept, process, context, and attitude, among Physics, Biology, and Chemistry students was found on energy theme. Also the difference was found in the profile category of answers in renewable energy STEM literacy among students.
