ABSTRACT

Utilizing Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) as the auxiliary means, the paper takes a-century-old coal mine named Fengfeng as the typical example to analyze the runoff process of Abandoned Mine Land (AML). Based on the meteorology, soil and vegetation, topography and other environmental conditions, the article chooses rainfall, slope, underlying surface types of AML as the research variables. The results show that (1) the rainfall intensity is the direct factor influencing runoff coefficient, which plays a critical role in runoff speed; (2) coal waste’s slope has a lower influence than its stacking life to the rainfall runoff; (3) AML’s runoff coefficient of abandoned factories tends to 1; (4) The underlying surface type most closely affected by rainfall intensity in AML is the soil pavement.
